Started by Conrad Gamble 4 years ago in London Ear Smoke currently enjoy a residency at Laylow, and have put on performances at the Dot Project, Sunday Papers Live, Waddington Custot, Obanjan, Wilderness, Curious Arts, Wilderness and the Curious Arts Festival.
Author, Poet, Filmmaker and founder of Ear Smoke, Conrad has opened this years Cheltenham Poetry Festival and has graced the stages of Secret Cinema, Somerset House, Sunday Papers Live and has been asked to write for Suitcase Magazine and the Book of Everyone amongst others.
Alan Moon (Alice St Clair Erskine)
Acclaimed actress and poet Alice a regular on the BBC on both the TV (A Royal Romance, The Crimson Fields), and the wireless, a regular on BBC 3 Words and Music and Radio 4's Homefront. She has performed her poetry internationally, including performances in Italy Greece and New York.
Under her pseudonym Alan Moon, she recently performed a majestic show at Brasserie Zedel and has become editor of The Print and the Poem for the Royal Academy.
Cecilia Knapp is a writer, poet and playwright. She has performed her work all over the UK and internationally. Commissions include the TATE, The Guardian and the BBC and she has been featured in Vogue as one of the UK's young poets to watch. She was shortlisted for the role of London Laureate in 2018 and longlisted for the 2019 Outspoken poetry prize. Her first show Finding Home was recently published by Burning Eye Books and toured the U.K. extensively. Her latest play Losing The Night is supported by The Arts Council and is in development with the Brighton Dome and The Roundhouse, where it recently premiered.
She is working on her first novel and her debut poetry pamphlet. She is currently poet in residence at Great Ormond Street Hospital and tutors the Roundhouse Poetry Collective as well as teaching creative writing and poetry for a number of other theatres, schools and organisations.
Cecilia is an ambassador for C.A.L.M (The Campaign Against Living Miserably) a charity that aims to reduce the silent stigma around depression, mental health and suicide.
Poet and musician Ollie Feather has performed at festivals such as Lost Village, Wilderness and has set up a Live Music company called liv.live
Artist and poet Lily has been wowing the Ear Smoke crowds recently with her witty verse and sumptuous delivery
London based singer songwriter cut her teeth in the London jazz scene before breaking into the London House scen with DJ producer John Monkman. She has done some seriously exciting collaborations and her debut single is just around the corner.
